As the parents of the bride helping to plan our daughter’s destination wedding, the pressure to find the right vendors to partner with was
imperative! We knew our daughter and future son in law wanted to be married at the Naval Academy, where they had both recently graduated from, so we quickly helped them secure the USNA Chapel and Officer’s Club there. We also took the recommendation from the Officer’s Club staff and secured a fabulous local florist they often partner with…next we began the search to secure the entertainment, which was definitely intimidating, and to try to hire sight unseen.
I searched through all the online wedding sites, reading the reviews and ratings from recent weddings in the Annapolis/DC/Baltimore area. Tommy Gatz Entertainment initially caught my eye because they are located in Annapolis. As we worked our way through the comments and reviews about Tommy and Valerie, we became increasingly interested. I made the initial call and was delighted with the first interaction. Valerie was responsive, helpful, and excited to hear about our upcoming event! I loved her energy and knowledge, so I passed their info on to the bride and groom. They agreed that Tommy Gatz Entertainment looked great, so we reserved the date and scheduled an in-person consultation for our daughter and fiancé on a weekend they would be in town for another wedding. Tommy was SO impressive, spinning records and DJ’ing for them! He convinced them to add up lighting for incredible ambiance, and he gained their complete confidence by being knowledgeable and engaged.
Everything we hoped for proved to be true. Throughout the process of planning, Valerie and I had many phone calls and emails. Valerie was ALWAYS responsive and helpful! She had great ideas about the timeline, and were able to schedule calls at times that were convenient for all. The reception was fabulous with Tommy keeping the dance floor full the entire night! Valerie was communicative and helpful, and Tommy stayed right on the timeline, was professional. He could not have been more personable or fun! The special lighting, they provided, made the venue look magical! A Top-notch entertainment service that we HIGHLY recommend! Thank you Tommy and Valerie for your passion to get it right! You certainly did!!!!
